How to Plant:
Germination:
- In summer, immerse the seeds in water at 16°C-30°C
- Place the seeds indoors and change the water twice a day
- Germination may occur around 1 week
- After germination, place the seedlings in direct sunlight and ensure they never dry out
- The seedlings will develop fine roots and 2-3 young lotus leaves within two weeks
Transplanting:
- Choose a suitable basin
- Fill the basin with half garden soil or soil free from chemical pollution
- Soak the soil with water but do not add any fertilizer for 2 weeks before transplanting
- Carefully transplant the seedlings into the soil, ensuring each one has its own basin
- Provide proper watering after transplanting, but do not submerge the lotus leaves
Management:
- 2-3 weeks after transplanting, fertilize the plants properly and maintain a temperature above 16°C
- Tips:
  1. Mix fertilizer into the lotus root pond 1 month in advance and level the bottom of the pond
  2. When first planted, the seedlings need shallow water. In summer, as the lotus roots grow rapidly, the water level should be a little higher, generally not exceeding 20 cm
  3. After all the lotus leaves have grown, you can fertilize again. You can also judge the need for fertilization based on the color of the leaves. If the leaves appear blackish-green, it's time to fertilize.
